Subscription formats and compatibility
| Configuration type | Usage notes |
|---|---|
| Node links / common V2Ray subscriptions | Usually a list of node links, which may also be encoded as a whole in Base64; the client must support the corresponding protocols. |
| Clash / Mihomo YAML | May include nodes, proxy groups and rules; support for extension fields can vary between cores. |
| sing-box JSON | Must be compatible with the sing-box core version used by the client. |
| Dedicated configurations for Surge / Quantumult X / Loon and others | Each has its own configuration specification; similar syntax does not guarantee full compatibility. |
Different formats are not directly interchangeable. Conversion may lose rules, DNS, proxy groups or protocol parameters. Before importing, check the target client and its core version; clients such as Stash do not guarantee support for all Mihomo extensions.
Keep private subscription URLs and credentials on your own device. Do not submit them to public conversion websites. If a different format is needed, obtain a compatible profile from your provider or prepare it locally using the target client's official configuration documentation.
Getting started
- Download a client from an official source that matches your operating system and CPU architecture.
- Use the client’s built-in nodes, or import supported subscriptions or configurations and update the node list.
- Select a node and test its latency, then check actual access after connecting.
Subscription updates and connection troubleshooting
- Update the subscription: Update it in the client to get the latest node list; a successful update does not mean the nodes are currently available.
- Unable to import: Check that the subscription URL is complete. If fetching fails, check the network and error message; if parsing fails, check the subscription format and the client’s core version.
- Unable to connect: First update the subscription and try other nodes, then check the proxy or VPN mode based on the client’s error message.
Latency results reflect only that test. They do not establish that a node is safe or guarantee access to all services.
How to import a node link
- Check that your client supports the protocol in the node URI, such as VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, or Hysteria2.
- For your first test, copy one complete node link and choose the client's clipboard or single-node import option.
- Save the configuration, then test latency and connectivity. If it fails, try another node before changing unrelated settings.
- After connecting, use NetScope network diagnostics or the VPN leak test guide to check your public IP, DNS, and WebRTC.
For detailed setup steps, see the cross-platform VLESS client matrix and Clash/V2Ray guide. Windows users can also read the source and archive notes for the old “Shadowrocket for Windows” package; Android users can use the Shadowrocket Android download and import guide. The client matrix and Windows archive notes may be in Chinese.
Choosing a protocol
| Protocol | Check before importing | Common issues |
|---|---|---|
| VLESS | TLS/Reality, SNI, and transport | Outdated client or incomplete Reality parameters |
| VMess | UUID, WebSocket path, and TLS | Incorrect system time or a path/Host mismatch |
| Trojan | Password, certificate hostname, and port | Certificate chain or SNI mismatch |
| Shadowsocks | Cipher, password, and port | The client does not support the selected cipher |
| Hysteria2 | UDP, authentication, TLS, and SNI | UDP restrictions or incorrect certificate settings |
Limits of free nodes
- Free nodes are suitable for client tests and temporary connectivity, not sensitive accounts such as payments, primary email, or work administration.
- Node operators, upstream networks, and DNS services may still see some connection metadata. HTTPS does not remove every risk.
- Do not install modified clients from unknown sources or disable certificate verification to bypass connection errors.
- Nodes frequently stop working. For ongoing access, choose a service with an identifiable operator, a clear privacy policy, and support channels.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a node fail immediately after import?
Check that it is still in the current snapshot and that your client supports its protocol. Then check system time, DNS, UDP/TCP connectivity, TLS/SNI, and the node parameters one at a time so you can identify the cause.
Have all listed nodes been speed-tested?
This page shows candidates from a periodically updated source. A listing does not guarantee speed, location, availability, or safety. Results depend on your network, client, and the node's current condition.
Can I use this webpage's address as a subscription URL?
No. This webpage returns HTML and cannot be imported as a subscription. Use one of the two explicit subscription links above, choosing a format your client supports. Each protocol URI in the snapshot represents a single node; import it through the clipboard or single-node option.
Why does a website still show my original location after connecting?
Your routing rules may exclude the website, DNS may still use the local network, the browser may reuse an old connection, or WebRTC may expose additional addresses. Check these layers with the diagnostic tools before changing proxy mode or DNS settings.
